UAP Film Club organised “UAP Film Festival Season-1”

On 14 October 2018, UAP Film Club under the direction of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), organised a film festival titled “UAP Film Festival Season -1” at its State-of-the-art Auditorium.

In the festival, 10 short films were screened made by the students of the university. Ms. Fatema Jannat Raihana Nazmee, Lecturer, Uttara University, and Costume Designer in Movie; Mr. Md. Sadiqul Islam, Lecturer, Sonargaon University and Former Secretary at BUET Film Society Mr. Shaik Merkatur Hakim, Lecturer, Sonargaon University and Former Member, BUET Film Society were present in the panel of judges.

The Best Film and Best Director awards were presented to Md. Mohaimanul Islam, Student of 3-1 Semester, Department of Civil Engineering for his film Jitendri. The Best Story award was presented to Md. Ashfaq-ul Haque, Student of 4-1 Semester, Department of Civil Engineering for Manusher Jogote Omanush. The Best Actor award was presented to Adib Ashhab Ankon, Student of 4-1 Semester, Department of Civil Engineering for Manusher Jogote Omanush.

Among others, Air Cdre Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury (Retd.), Director, DSW, UAP, Faculty members of different departments were present in the festival. Mr. Tarek Hasan, Adviser, UAP Film Club, was the coordinator of the programme.
